It took me a long time to realize that Operation: Omega was: 1) not going to be that original (being like Escape from Epsilon, combined with William Mataga's smooth scrolling Zeppelin) and 2) impossible to fully implement on the 8-bit Atari without drastically scaling down the number of moving objects on the screen. It would have been much like the Synapse Software games that I enjoyed at the time. I was getting to be a bit more politically correct, and included options for left and right handed players, and the option to either be Slyvester, or his sister Sylvia. Although I'm glad I ended my game programming with the more original Maximillian B., I do like the idea of this Omega,or last game, being an unfinished mystery. |
